Codex has not recovered? Check your account before a public reset
Start with your own usage display, not somebody else's countdown. Run /status inside an active Codex session or open the usage page in your account settings, then identify the exhausted allowance and any displayed reset time.
Scope: Codex signed in with a ChatGPT account, not API-key quota troubleshooting. This site is independent and unofficial.
Work through this checklist
- Check that the client is signed in to the account and workspace you mean to inspect. Another account's screenshot is not a reference clock for yours.
- Record the limit label, displayed time, time zone and observation time. A missing field stays “unknown”; do not reconstruct it from your first session.
- Keep scheduled account recovery, announced automatic resets, banked reset credits, purchased instant resets and rule changes separate. Check each offer's scope and period; someone else's receipt does not establish yours.
- If the displayed time has passed and access is still blocked, check the same account again. Keep the client version, model, timestamp and a redacted screenshot for official support; never send credentials or complete account output to a third-party tracker.
A purchased instant reset has separate rules. Official guidance offers it to eligible Plus/Pro personal accounts; it applies immediately, the next weekly period begins with the first request afterwards, and it resets automatically seven days later. It cannot be saved for later and is not a promotional reset credit. This guide does not recommend a purchase and performs no reset for you.
For example, someone says “it reset” while your account still shows next week. That establishes only that the two statements disagree; the next step is checking the original announcement's conditions against your account, not rewriting a group message into a recovery notice.
This site does not read your Codex account. An announcement or an alert does not prove personal recovery. With no official time for the next public reset, the answer stays “not announced” — past intervals are not a schedule to plan work around.
